Detroit Symphony musicians Robert Williams, Principal Bassoonist, and his wife, Treva Womble, Oboe/English hornist, founded Womble/Williams Double Reeds. We have over 68 years of professional performance between us and feel we are experts in the field. The first product produced was an English horn endpin to take the weight of the English horn off the performers right hand. We sell heavy-duty orchestra stands for bassoon and contra and are authorized Fox instrument dealer. We are pleased to import all of Georg Rieger’s fine double reed tools.
We have recently purchased diamond tooling for gouging, shaping, and profiling bassoon cane and hope to be an excellent source for bassoon cane in all configurations in the near future.
